Experience: 

Barb has been teaching at Axtell Park Middle School in Sioux Falls for the past 21 years.  She directs the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades choirs, as well as teaching a 6th grade Exploratory Music class, a history of rock music class, and an Immersion Music class.  The Immersion Music class is for students who speak limited English.  Barb also directs a vocal ensemble (Expressions) and directs a musical or variety show each year. 
Barb received the 2008 John Harris Teacher of the Year Award for the Sioux Falls School District.
