SDMEA agrees to allow ample time for schools to comply to this request.
Eligibility Requirements
1. All music staff must be members of SDMEA.
2. South Dakota public or parochial schools are eligible.
Criteria
Classification is determined by SDHSAA Music Classification (9-11 enrollment from previous year).
0-125 - Class C
level 1 Exemplary 75% 
level 2 Exceptional 65% 
level 3 Noteworthy 55%
126-425 Class B 
level 1 Exemplary 60% 
level 2 Exceptional 50% 
level 3 Noteworthy 40%
426-725 Class A
level 1 Exemplary 45%
level 2 Exceptional 40%
level 3 Noteworthy 35%
726 and above Class AA
level 1 Exemplary 35%
level 2 Exceptional 30%
level 3 Noteworthy 25%
